Arrival in Magdeburg

Magdeburg can be easily accessed by both automobiles and trains. The nearest international airports are in Berlin, which are Berlin-Tegel and Berlin-Schönefeld.

For Berlin-Tegel airport, one recommended option is that you can take Bus TXL to Berlin main train station (Berlin Hauptbahnhof) and take the train to Magdeburg main train station (Magdeburg Hauptbahnhof), which takes two to three hours in total.

For Berlin-Schönefeld airport, you can take common train directly from the airport to Magdeburg, but please pay attention that you should switch the train one time.
Within the city, trams and buses are the common public transportation, which can reach most of places in the city. Please pay attention that night lines are different from day time lines.
